None of the RIVAL ARMS™ barrels are available without fluting. The barrel fluting has a specific function as it helps keep debris from interfering with the reliable operation of your pistol. It also helps with keeping the barrel cooler and provides a slight weight reduction.

Which screw should I use for the Glock front sight?
Your Rival Arms Glock® sight set comes with two front sight screws. The longer screw (0.100″) comes installed in the front sight and the shorter screw (0.080″) which is packed inside the cardstock from the packaging.
If sights are being used on a Rival Arms slide use the shorter screw to ensure correct fitment. If installing on a stock Glock® slide or different brand slide start with the longer screw, depending on the brand and generation of the slide will determine which screw is necessary. If there is any amount of play, of the screw does not fully seat into the slide, use the shorter screw supplied with the sight set.
Rival Arms always recommends to have a professional gunsmith perform all sight removal and recommended installation procedures. We would advise to use a little blue loctite on the front sight scew threads and green loctite on the front sight boss for a secure fitment. Most well-equipped gunsmiths should have these loctite products handy.
Any further questions regarding installation and fitment feel free to give our customer service department a call at 972-993-7165.
Bronze & Graphite Barrel Color Variation
For maximum durability, we continually test the coatings of our stainless steel barrels. We reject any coated barrels that do not pass. Because chemical coatings are mixed and approved one batch at a time, there can be a slight color deviation from one batch to the next. This is rarely noticeable in the black finish but occasionally noticed in the “Bronze” and and “Graphite” finishes. More than paint or pigment, there is some natural deviation in color in metallic chemical coatings. For example, one batch of “Bronze” barrels may have a lightly warmer or lighter tone than the next. Because of this, a product photograph may or may not match the exact metallic finish of the individual product. Our product photography team strives to match the average or most common color.
This is one reason we supply thread protectors with threaded barrels, to make sure they come from the same batch, and accurately match in color.
All barrels that leave our facility use approved chemical coatings, and all pass our stringent testing.

What striker spring is included with the Slide Completion Kit?
The slide completion kit includes a stock#5 striker (firing pin) spring.

Extractor Assmebly Guide
When it comes to small parts assemblying them can be confusing at times. For the extractor assmebly, the Striker Safety Spring connects to the Extractor Dperessor Plunger (does not matter which end of the spring attached to the plunger) as long as you hear a tactile click. Lastly, attach the Spring Load Bearing which will click into the opposite end of the Depressor Plunger Spring. Once this assembly is complete the Depressor Plunger will go in the back of the slide first and push against the extractor (the spring load bearing should press against the striker plate). The extractor is an OEM part stamped with “1895”.

Two-Piece Magwell Weights

Adding a magwell will slightly increase the weight of your pistol. The weight will vary by model and generation:

Proper handgun sight alignment
Different brands use different sight-in distances for their sights. This means the alignment and “hold” on your Rival Arms sights may be slightly different that on your factory sights.
All Rival Arms sights are optimized for a “combat style” 25-yard point-of-impact result.
With the three dots in alignment, the front/center dot should be centered on the target. This is considered a “combat-style” sight picture.
“Standard-height” and “suppressor” or “mos” height sights use the same method and same 25-yard zero.
Inline sight models are also aligned at 25 yards, but the sight picture differs slightly. Please reference the image below for the proper sight alignment.
Using this sight picture should result in a Point-of-Impact (POI) directly behind the front sight dot at 25 yards.
To most accurately confirm the alignment, please shoot your pistol from a solid rest at 25 yards, with two hands, using this sight picture.

We believe that the above sight picture provides the most consistent Point-of-Aim (POA)/ Point-of-Impact (POI) in all shooting conditions, Day or Night.
