This chassis is designed around the Remington short action (308 win) rifle platform. This will fit Remington branded actions (adl, bdl, sps, etc), and other third party actions that use the same profile. The bottom metal from the donor rifle is not needed, as the trigger guard and magazine well are integrated into the chassis design.
This chassis is designed for maximum compatibility with Accuracy International Chassis System (AICS) magazines, including Magpul AICS pattern P-mags.
The short action chassis is designed around the 308 Winchester, but is compatible with all short action calibers of this length (260 Remington, 6.5 Creedmoor, 243 Remington, 7mm-06, etc.). This chassis in not compatible with long/standard action calibers (270 Win, 30-06, 35-07, etc.) or magnum action calibers (300 win mag, 375 H&H, 7mm RUM, etc.). While there are several “short actions” for smaller cartridges (222 remington length, including .223, 221 fireball, 204 ruger, etc.) these calibers are generally NOT compatible with AICS pattern short-action magazines.
